Walsh University is offering a unique opportunity to hear from the Hawthorne Dominican Sisters on Wednesday, March 27, at 1:30 p.m. via Zoom. For 125 years, these sisters have dedicated their lives to serving the poor with incurable cancer in New York and Texas. Their mission of compassionate care began at a time when cancer was still believed to be contagious, yet they selflessly stepped forward to help those in need.
Hosted by Professor Sarah Bokovitz’s palliative care course in collaboration with Fr. Albert Trudel O.P., this event is open to the entire Walsh University community. Young women who may be exploring a religious vocation are also encouraged to attend. The Zoom link will be provided upon registration. This is a powerful opportunity to learn about faith, service, and the call to care for the most vulnerable.
