As the Associate Vice President for Academic Administration, Dr. Edna McCulloh brings two decades of experience in academic support for all students. In this role, she is responsible for providing the strategic vision for the University’s Academic Services. Dr. McCulloh oversees the appointed Academic Services directors who are responsible for executing the student support services within the following departments:

  • Academic Support Center—tutoring supports, accessibility services for students with disabilities and temporary medical conditions, academic mentoring, peer mentoring, academic recovery, and retention programming
  • Office of the Registrar—registration of semester courses, graduation degree audits, add/drop semester courses, declaration and/or change of major, change of demographic information, and request for academic transcripts
  • Professional Academic Advising—schedule courses for incoming first-year students, transfer students with freshman status, College Credit Plus students, and retention programming
  • Brother Edmond Drouin Library—personal librarian program, assistance with scholarly journal database searches, access to Ohio LINK resources, access to Library Guides and Instructional Videos, course textbooks available for loan, and support with research, citations and avoiding plagiarism
  • First-year Experience Program—build community and support for freshmen and transfer students with a Life Skills for College course, support the student’s transition to college experience, and retention programming

Dr. McCulloh is passionate about helping students achieve their goals. She is dedicated to promoting learning, personal development, retention, and graduation for all Walsh University students.

Dr. McCulloh joined Walsh in 1998 as University Registrar, a position she held until 2015, when she was promoted from University Registrar to Assistant Dean of Academic Services. During her tenure as Registrar, Dr. McCulloh led the migration of the University’s on-line student course registration and faculty self-service systems, the expansions of military student support services, at-risk student support resources and multicultural student academic services.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Aquinas College, a Master of Arts degree from Western Michigan University, and her Ed.D. from Walden University.

Dr. McCulloh resides in Akron, Ohio, with her husband, Reverend Larry and daughter, Imani.
