Teresa Fox was appointed as Vice President for Marketing and Communications on December 8, 2014 and was named Vice President for Marketing/Chief Communications and Public Affairs Officer on February 10, 2020. She brings 25 years of experience to this position including various roles in the corporate sector prior to joining Walsh as Director of Marketing in 2005. She served as Walsh’s Assistant Vice President of University Relations from 2010–2014.
Ms. Fox provides leadership for the University’s Office of Integrated Marketing and Communications in charge of university-wide internal and external marketing and branding strategies and execution. Her responsibilities include the management of the marketing budget, research, strategic planning, brand management, internal/external communication strategies, University marketing publications, web and social media sites, video production, content marketing, community partnerships, and University photography.
She also provides executive oversight over the Office of Alumni & Career Connections.
Under her leadership, the Walsh University marketing department has grown in the past 15 years, outputting weekly and quarterly newsletters, three annual magazines, and bringing all marketing and communications support in-house including social media, advertising, event marketing, and all print collateral. Under her direction, her team manages a workflow of an average of 500+ marketing projects per year from various audience constituencies within the University.
Prior to joining Walsh, Ms. Fox was a senior account executive in marketing and advertising for both the nonprofit and profit sectors in South Carolina and California with such clients as the Savannah Economic Development Authority, Bombardier Business Aircraft, Fisher and Paykel Appliances, Sears, and Sony.
In 2017, Ms. Fox was honored with a “best of the best” Accent on Excellence marketing award at the 45th Annual National Sales & Marketing Executives awards ceremony in Akron, Ohio. She is a multiple Addy award winner for her work in advertising.
Ms. Fox served on the board of the North Canton Chamber of Commerce from 2007–2013, and also served as a board member for the American Advertising Federation (AAF). She currently serves as the Board Chair for the Better Business Bureau of Canton & West Virginia’s Education Board and is an active member of the Canton Chamber Stark Education Committee, American Marketing Association, PRSA Akron Chapter, and AAF. Fox is a graduate of the 34th Class of Leadership Stark County’s Signature Program.
Ms. Fox earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Miami University.
