The Walsh University second Annual Winter College included more than 50 alumni, faculty and friends, who gathered together for three days of enrichment, fellowship and fun in Naples, Florida, from Feb. 23-26. Guests enjoyed reconnecting with friends from across the country as they engaged with notable Walsh alumni and top faculty members who shared their insights and expertise on a wide range of stimulating topics including politics, music, healthcare and leadership development. Winter College is a unique opportunity to connect Walsh’s talented faculty and alumni in an environment that is conducive for learning and personal development.
This year’s event was highlighted by special guest speaker General Phil Breedlove, Retired Four-Star General, U.S. Air Force who spoke on Monday night on the topic of NATO: The Next Seventy. General Breedlove offered his insight on NATO, and more broadly United States allies, are more important now than ever.
“Winter College is a way to continue the Walsh educational experience for our alumni and friends. For three days, this event is bringing people together as we continue to focus on our 40-60 year relationships with our alumni and friends,” said Vice President of Advancement Eric Belden. “This event is an occasion to showcase the expertise of our talented faculty and alumni. We were fortunate to also welcome our Keynote Speaker General Breedlove who was able to conduct a thought-provoking conversation that provided a truly amazing experience for all who attended.”
Phil Breedlove is a proven strategic planner, a motivational leader and talented communicator. He is a highly decorated retired General of the United States Air Force reaching the pinnacle of the United States Military as one of six geographic Combatant Commanders and Supreme Allied Commander of NATO. During his 39 years of service, Breedlove held a variety of demanding command and staff positions. He has led large-scale, diverse, global operations across two theaters of combat.
Special thank you for all our alumni and friends for making it a special event. We look forward to seeing you next year!
