Walsh University Welcomes Largest Incoming Undergraduate Class in a Decade

Walsh University is celebrating the start of the new school year and Welcome Week with record-breaking enrollment numbers, highlighting the University’s continued growth, international appeal, and commitment to Catholic teaching and values. Beginning Friday, August 16, students will move into the residence halls and embark on their academic journeys at Walsh, including the largest incoming class of traditional undergraduates since 2014.
 
This year, Walsh University proudly welcomes 508 new traditional undergraduate students, including a record 128 transfer students, the largest transfer cohort in the University's history.

“Our growing enrollment underscores the close-knit, welcoming environment we offer at Walsh University,” said Rebecca Coneglio, Vice President for Enrollment Management. “We are excited to welcome such a diverse and talented group of students, and we’re committed to providing them with the values-based education and support necessary for their success.”
 
With nearly 100 majors and minors, award-winning athletics featuring 27 intercollegiate sports and nearly 750 athletes, and a dynamic student life, Walsh offers a rich and engaging experience. The University’s holistic educational approach nurtures the development of the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Through critical thinking, independent learning, and hands-on experiences, Walsh prepares students for life beyond graduation. And dedicated faculty support students academically and encourage involvement in volunteer work and community engagement.

This year’s student body represents 36 countries, including the United States, contributing diverse perspectives that enhance Walsh’s vibrant and inclusive campus community. As students from around the world arrive, Walsh University looks forward to an academic year filled with renewed energy and enthusiasm, united in its mission of Catholic educational excellence and community engagement.
