Walsh University Maintains Ranking in Top National Universities, Nursing Program Soars in U.S. News & World Report List

Walsh University’s Gary and Linda Byers School of Nursing saw an impressive rise in the latest US News & World Report rankings, rising 127 points over last year to No. 345 nationally in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Programs category—up from the previous year’s rank of No. 472. This significant improvement highlights Walsh’s commitment to providing high-quality education and preparing students for successful careers in nursing.

In addition to the nursing program, Walsh University is ranked #352 among Top National Universities, maintaining its position from the previous year. These rankings are part of the U.S. News & World Report’s comprehensive evaluation of nearly 1,500 national colleges and universities based on 17 measures of academic quality, with a strong emphasis on social mobility and student outcomes.

Walsh University was elevated to the national rankings category from the previous Midwest category several years back because of its diverse program offerings from undergraduate through doctoral programs, research initiatives, and growing international and online presence. Its inclusion in the prestigious Newman Guide for Catholic education further highlights its national reputation for integrating faith, reason, and service. With students from 36 countries and partnerships that extend beyond the Midwest, Walsh’s impact and visibility reach well beyond regional boundaries, reflecting its status as a university of national distinction.
