OIT supports all University educational programs, research, student services and administrative functions.

Wireless Network Access

Changes Effective Beginning Monday, May 6, 2024

Wireless access procedures have been changed to make device registration easier. Going forward you will not need to register a device using a registration form and wait 24 hours for it to be processed. The new process will collect information and automatically register your device when you sign into the new wireless networks.

Available Networks

WU Guest

  • Guest network for visitors to campus and will require submission of an email address to connect. Guests will have access for 12 hours.

WU Faculty/Staff and WU Student

  • These networks will replace WU Reg Com.
  • Connect to these networks with your username (Do Not include @wash.edu) and password.

WU Media

  • Network for devices such as TVs, gaming consoles, Amazon Fire Stick, etc.
  • Connect to this network with your username (Do Not include @wash.edu) and password.

WU Academic

  • Only for Walsh-owned devices and requires a special passcode.

Note: Each time your password changes you will need to “Forget the Network” and log in again.


IT Services

Self-Service Password Reset

Once set up with your 2-factor authentication you can unlock or reset your Walsh University password on your own. If you need the Help Desk to reset your password you will need to use this service to change your default password to your own new password.

ECN (Electronic Course Network)

ECN is the Learning Management System for Walsh University’s online programs. In addition, many traditional courses use ECN tools to supplement student learning. 

MyWalsh

MyWalsh is the University portal that contains information about meal plans, menus, advising, courses, and general life on campus. 

Cavalier Center

The Cavalier Center is the student information system - students register for classes, view their grades, review financial aid, and update personal information. 

Email

Our email is part of the Microsoft Office365 service. Logging into email also gives you access to OneDrive, online Office products and more. In addition, all Walsh students and employees can download a free copy of Microsoft Office for both Mac and PC and mobile devices. 

Videoconferencing

Walsh subscribes to ZOOM for videoconferencing services. ZOOM works with a browser and has an app for your tablet or phone. Sign up for a free Zoom account using your Walsh username and password.

Campus Telephones

Information Technology maintains our VoIP phone system, faxes and campus owned cell phones. 

Classroom Technology

Information Technology manages the technology in all classrooms on campus and at our satellite campuses. In addition, we manage the active learning classrooms on the main campus. 

University Printers and Computer Labs

Information Technology manages all computer labs, campus printers and Walsh owned computers on the main campus.

Printing on campus is for a charge. Students get $25.00 in PrintBucks for the year (August to August) and can add money by visiting Student Service Center. All computer labs have printers in residence halls and academic buildings.

The Office of Information Technology Help Desk is located in Farrell Hall 212, on the second floor directly across from the stairwell nearest the library.
